A BRILLIANT performance last night at the debate. Governor Sarah Palin was awesome.
She talked to the American people in words that they understand, relate to and above all she talked from the heart. In reality it was not a debate. She answered her questions with what she wanted to say, not what the questions seemed to imply. There were no Palin gaffes, but there were plenty of Biden mistakes if not outright lies. Biden is a gifted veteran who was an adversary of Obama during the primaries and now Sarah Palin threw his words back into his face that must have felt like a cold shower in the outdoors of the North Slope in Alaska.
Who won the debateāno question. It was Governor Palin by a wide margin. When she was introduced in Dayton there were comments such as “a rising star” and “future hopefull”. No she isn’t a rising star, she is our shining star. She isn’t a future hopeful, she is our “hopeful future.”
In the debate Governor Palin attacked the Biden/Obama ticket with a smile and with humor that resonated well with everyone that I watched with last night. Her “”I’m no Washington insider” comment was reinforced by her down to earth every day language and common sense. But the line of the night had to be “Say it ain’t so Joe, there you go again.” It showed she was willing and able to take it to the Biden/Obama ticket. She called them out and derided them on their “white flag of surrender” policy on the war in Iraq.
Sarah Palin was gutsy. Sarah Palin showed us the solid conservative values that she espouses and her openness of her love of God and country -- and of course her family.
Sarah Palin proved last night that she would make a great vice president, but even more so, that she could step in and be a great president if the need should arise. John McCain and Sarah Palin are ready to lead from day one. They both put “COUNTRY FIRST.”
With only 31 days to go, to win this November, the Sarah Palin that we saw last night has to be unleashed and be center stage. Let the chants begin -- “Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, Sarah…”
